In response to its key climate-related risks and opportunities, Dachan formulates short-, medium-, and long-term strategies in line with its operational policies, and establishes metrics and targets for management and control. Progress toward these targets is reviewed annually, with results reported to the Board of Directors to ensure ongoing oversight, monitoring, and performance tracking.


ØEnvironmental Performance

1. Since 2024, ISO 14001 Environmental Management System has been introduced, covering all domestic sites of Dachan Group, including parent and subsidiary companies.

2. Chiayi Food Factory obtained ISO 14001 Environmental Management System certification in August 2025.

3. Dachan Group formulated the “Annual Environmental Audit Plan” and “Environmental (Air/Water/Waste/Toxic) Audit Checklists” as execution targets. According to the scale and characteristics of each site, environmental audits are conducted quarterly to annually to ensure effective implementation of environmental policies and routine management. In 2025, internal environmental communication was completed across 69 sites within the Group.

ØEnergy Performance

1. Starting in 2025, ISO 50001 Energy Management System is being implemented across all domestic sites of Dachan Group, including parent and subsidiary companies.

2. The Tainan Biotechnology Feed Plant obtained ISO 50001 Energy Management System certification in December 2025.

3. In 2025, energy-saving initiatives were introduced based on the actual conditions of each site — such as adopting high-efficiency energy-saving motors, replacing high-capacity transformers, and phasing out old, high-consumption equipment. The estimated energy savings are 2,035,171 kWh, representing a 1.65% reduction, which exceeds regulatory requirements.

4. Dachan Group’s sites are located throughout Taiwan. In compliance with central and local government regulations, the Group has leased rooftop spaces and constructed solar power systems. As of 2025, rooftop-leased solar installations total 25,316.56 kWp, and self-owned solar installations total 3,980.38 kWp.
5. To align with the government’s net-zero policy, Dachan has formulated electricity reduction strategies. In 2025, the Group plans to install self-generated and self-consumed solar photovoltaic systems at two sites, with a total investment of approximately NTD 34.15 million. The installations, with a planned capacity of 933.695 kWp, are expected to be completed in 2026, resulting in an estimated average annual reduction of 421.71 tons of CO₂e.

ØWater Resource Management Performance
   In 2024, Dachan implemented water reduction initiatives across its operations, with particularly notable results at its meat processing
plants. During the year, Dachan reduced tap water consumption by 102,641 tons, an amount equivalent to TSMC’s one-day water usage, or sufficient to meet the daily water needs of 355,159 people.
For Dachan, water conservation is not merely a slogan but an ongoing commitment. Through the collective efforts of its partners, the
company continues to make steady progress toward its water management goals.
